fundraising for a major refurbishment of the parish hall continues on Saturday, February 18 at 8pm with a country and western evening, led by popular local singer Steve Chase. Tickets are £4 on the door, to include refreshments.
The next Flicks in the Sticks is a showing of Kinky Boots, a heart-warming British film inspired by the real-life story of a failing Midlands shoe factory inherited by Charlie Price.
Things look bleak until he meets a female impersonator/cabaret singer, who introduces him to a niche market. It is screened at the parish hall on Saturday, February 25 at 7.30pm.
Heartstart UK will be holding emergency life-support training at the parish hall on Wednesday, March 29 at 7pm. The course covers life-threatening emergencies that can happen in a variety of situations. A volunteer instructor will explain what to do with a demonstration and then the class will break up into groups of four or six to practice on a manikin. On Sunday, at Holy Trinity Bosbury, parish communion is at 9.30am.
