MR Harry de Windt, the first explorer to accomplish the great and unprecedented journey from Paris to New York overland, and who spoke on the subject in Malvern some weeks ago, will re-visit the town tomorrow and lecture at the Assembly Rooms on his recent travels through revolutionary Russia and the Balkan States. A number of animated pictures, taken by an artist of the Urban Bioscope Ltd, who accompanied the explorer, will illustrate the lecture, together with lantern slides. Malvern News, February 10, 1906.
There is no fresh development in connection with the mysterious affair last week, when Ada Broomhead was found lying across the lane at Kilcote, near Newent, a few hundred yards from her home.

Last Friday, a large number of dancers from Malvern and surrounding districts once again took the opportunity of hearing Ray Ellington and his quartet at the Winter Gardens.
This brilliant instrumentalist is known throughout Europe for his skill as a musician and he gave an admirable performance on the drums. In addition, he sang some popular songs including Shake, Rattle and Roll and Cloud Burst. Malvern Gazette, February 10, 1956.
Children of the Ledbury Baptist Sunday School entertained the old folks at Belle Orchard House last week, with a programme of sketches, songs, recitations, solos and dances. Thirty items were given and the children provided their own costumes. Ledbury Reporter, February 17, 1956.

THE Halifax Building Society, which up to now has operated in Malvern through an agent, is to have its own offices here - in part of Courts furniture store, which closes on Friday. The building society offices will be on the corner of Church Street and Graham Road, and it will also take over the first and second floor offices.
The society wrote that there was a considerable demand in Malvern for improvement and expansion of their services. Malvern Gazette, February 12, 1981.
Support for the Book of Ledbury, being prepared and published by Barracuda Books, is now nearing its target.
