FLORAL ART SOCIETY: The society held its AGM on January 25, which most members attended. After the speeches and discussion of the accounts, the yearly awards for floral art were made to those members gaining most paints in the competitions during 2005.
The business side of things was followed by a social evening of refreshments (supplied by the committee) and general conversation. The society is staging an exhibition in the Evesham Public Library for the month of April, to be entitled Flowers Through the Seasons. This will be followed by the open night to be held at the Arts Centre on Wednesday, May 3. This event will feature a double demonstration by well known demonstrators Bob Harris and Andrew Lloyd. New members and visitors are welcomed at any monthly meeting. First Wednesday each month except August when a garden party is usually held in a member's garden. Subscriptions £14 (over 60s £12) per year. Visitors £3.50 a meeting.
