GARDENING CLUB: The January meeting took place at Wulstan Hall, and was taken by George Featonby.
Bob Hares from Pershore College gave a wonderfully illustrated talk entitled The Garden in January. He also brought many samples of flowering shrubs and answered several queries by members.
The next meeting will be on February 23 at 7.30pm at Wulstan Hall when the speaker will be Mike talking about The Croome Park Estate and the competition will be a vase of spring foliage.
FLOWER CLUB: Members held their annual general meeting on January 18. The president Diana Gill took the meeting. It was well attended, at the end of business Mrs Gill introduced Margaret Walker who gave a talk entitled Everything stops for Tea. Helen Morris gave the vote of thanks.
The next meeting will be on February 15 at the Wulstan Hall, Priests Lane, Pershore, at 7.30pm. The demonstrator will be Joan Ryrie from Chepstow, her title is Westend. This is also a competition month, Winter.
