VILLAGE FORUM: The January meeting was attended by 55 residents and county and district councillors Julie Girling, Sue Jepson and Lyndon Stowe. Also present was Mr Elcock, a county traffic engineer.
Many matters were discussed including the proposed weight-restriction order and speed limits.
As requested at the meeting the chairman, Maurice Andrews, has now written to the Gloucestershire County Council demanding action immediately and expressing the intention to attend the March meeting of the county council to put questions to the full council. No reply has yet been received.
North Cotswolds Neighbourhood Watch organiser, Andy Fogden, explained the Smartwater property-marking scheme now operating; he was supported by Community Police representative, PC Brewer.

METHODIST CHURCH: The weekly coffee breaks continue every Friday in the Church Room, the next being February 10. During the period 10am to 11.30am Faircraft goods will be on sale. All are invited.
CAROLS FOR ALL: The annual Carols for all, held in the village hall in Christmas week raised £81 for the Jedidiah Foundation, the project set up to send aid to the needy children in the Congo.
MOTHERS AND TODDLERS: The Toddlers' Carol Service raised £100 which will help provide replacements for the play equipment. The group meets in the village hall every Friday during term-time between 9.30am and 11.30am. All mums, dads, and carers are most welcome. Contact Sue Oram on 01386 854862.
COFFEE MORNING: The annual coffee morning for village hall funds was held on Saturday last and raised £465. The committee thanks all who once again gave their help and support.
VILLAGE CAROLS: The usual carol singers went around the village in Christmas week and raised £108 for Save the Children and the Asian earthquake appeal.
MOBILE LIBRARY: The next visits of the County Mobile Library will be on Tuesdays, February 14 and 28 calling at Collin Close at 2.40pm and the Bell Inn at 3.05pm.
MOBILE POLICE STATION: The Mobile next visits the village at 9.45am on Wednesday, February 22. The police officer on duty will be pleased to help with any policing problems or complaints. For calls other than emergency (999), please phone 0845 090 1234.
WILLERSEY MUSIC: Advance notice is given of Willersey Music's next presentation at Willersey Village Hall on Saturday, March 25 at 7pm. The event will be a Gala Night of Jazz and Golden Oldies with Dominic Seldis (double bass), James Pearson (piano) and Jacqui Dankworth (vocalist).
Tickets are available from Willersey Stores or Post Office Stores at £10 per head (under 18s £5) including a glass of wine or soft drink.
WEDNESDAY CLUB: At recent meetings members and friends heard a talk by Sue Home from the Patients Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) who explained the work of the Advice and Support service it provides. Leaflets are obtainable from doctors surgeries and hospitals. Last week, members heard a talk by retired police officer, Sir M Simms on a Policeman's Lot. He recalled some of his experiences both in Yorkshire and London and showed equipment carried by police. At the next meeting, on Wednesday, February 15, members will hear Paul McGuire on Experience of a Butlins Redcoat.
