KIDDERMINSTER firsts will be hoping for a derby day boost when they face local rivals and bottom club Old Halesonians on Saturday after a worrying run of results.
Their 5-1 thrashing at Sikh Union Coventry last weekend made it three defeats in a row for the town team.
Kidderminster started brightly enough with their young side passing and defending well under the guidance of Phil Williams and keeper Andy Moore.
They even recovered from the blow of going a goal down when Matt Edwards equalised with a first time shot after a good move.
But Kidderminster's comeback was short-lived.
With no substitutes on the bench, Isaac Newman's withdrawal after a stick to the head left them with 10 men.
Although he later returned patched up, Kidderminster then briefly lost Chris Brazier who picked up a knock.
With all of the disruption, their opponents scored four goals to run out clear winners.
Kidderminster thirds were made to pay for a slow start as they lost 2-0 to Walsall in their first game without a goal.
Late replacements Peter Grummitt, Peter Mauger, Steve Roden and Piers Whitehouse all played well.
They head for struggling Kingswinford on Saturday needing a win to stay in one of two promotion places.
A brave defensive effort was not enough to stop Chaddesley Corbett losing 2-0 to West Midlands Division Two leaders Berkswell and Balsall Common.
The defeat leaves them ninth ahead of Saturday's home clash with eighth-placed Atherstone Adders at 4pm at Stourport.
Stourport firsts had a free weekend but return to National North Division action at home to Nottingham at 2pm on Saturday.
The goals came from Dave Knott, Dave Westhead and Luke Edwards as Stourport seconds battled to a 3-2 win over Leek.
They will have several key players missing when they visit Birmingham University on Saturday.
Stourport fourths stay top of the pile after winning their first v second clash with Worcester fourths 3-1.
Paul Taylor, Scott Nelson and Kevin Claar were on the score-sheet for the fourths who host Edgbaston on Saturday.
There was also a victory for Stourport fifths who hit Old Wulfrunians for six in a 6-1 win.
A Matt Delo double did the damage along with goals from Dave Potter, Giles Colwill, Robin Conway and Kyle Gain. They visit Leek on Saturday.
