WYRE Forest Cycling Racing Club's Elliot Dinsdale and Dan Harding rode superbly in the penultimate round of the West Midlands Cyclo Cross League at Rugeley.
The race incorporated the British Universities National Champio-nships , and Harding put in a superb effort to finish third in the university championships behind Mark Thwaites and Ben Simmons.
Dinsdale produced his best performance of the season to finish fourth in the league and 10th overall behind winner and league leader Steve Knight of MI Racing.
The Wyre Forest duo look set to finish comfortably inside the top 10 with Harding, who has recently recovered from illness, fifth on 341 points and Dinsdale sixth with 309.
In the Junior competition, Pete Banham is eighth despite missing the last few rounds.
Paul Prince, Chris Poole Mat Krstic, Sue Middup-Jones, Richard Pedersen and Dave Prior completed the Beacon 125km Audux ride course from Hartlebury within the time limit.

Riders will be on the local roads when the club promote their reliability trial on Sunday, February 19.
The trial follows an undulating 60-mile course from Kidderminster to Leominster, leaving Fabricolor Ltd, Stourport Road, Kidderminster, at 10am. For further details contact Prior on 01299 266850.
