CHADDESLEY Corbett goal machine Liam Binner took his tally to six in six games - but it was fellow scorer Stephen Meredith who earned the plaudits in the 3-2 win over Mahal.
Corbett continued their steady rise up the West Midlands League Division Two table when a first half strike from Meredith and Binner's second half double saw off Mahal.
Martin Westcott insisted the victory was more comfortable than the scoreline suggested and the boss was particularly pleased with Meredith.
He said: "He can't turn up every week but when he can he has no qualms about sitting on the bench.
"He deserved his start and had a very good game.
"He is well liked among the squad and I can't praise him enough for his great attitude."
Chaddesley are at home again on Saturday, entertaining promotion-seeking Shenstone at 2.15pm.
Players are asked to be at Longmore for 12.45pm.
