A KIDDERMINSTER carpenter who has been working on the new Rhydd Covert activity centre has put his hand in his pocket to back our appeal.
The last time self-employed John Martin was at Rhydd was 30 years ago when he was a Cub with KD10 troop .
He said: "My apprentice Pat Moreve and I were both in the Cubs - Pat was in KD12 Blakedown and I was in KD10 Cookley.
"We had some great times when we stayed at Rhydd as youngsters and it's nice to be involved in the appeal.
"When Grace Plant, who is in charge of the building project, asked me to work on the site, I thought the best thing to do was make a donation of £100 to put something back into Scouting."
John and Pat were putting roof timbers in place last week and will move on to fixing the wooden cladding to the exterior of the new building at the end of this week.
