THERE were nine full tables at a recent duplication competition, playing 27 boards in a Mitchell movement.
North-south was won by a new partnership of Julian Taylor and Pat Smith, with 65 per cent.
They were followed by Clive Clifton and Nigel Wilkins on 58 per cent.
Nick Holcombe and Sarah Green took the honours in east-west for the second week in succession, with 62 per cent. In second place were Gerald and Joy Link with 59 per cent.
Philip Stevenson and David Brown were top in the north-south position at the latest duplicate competition, returning 65 per cent, giving them an eight per cent lead over Frank and Pat Hall.
East-west was much closer, with Charles and Vera Smith first with 59 per cent, and Gerald and Joy Link second with 58 per cent.
Membership has now been closed, but visitors are allowed when room permits.
