AT the annual meeting prizes were presented to competition winner by Avis Field. Joy Cook and Nat Parker were joint first, and the novice prize went to Kathy Page. Chairman Betty Bickerton presented the Chairman's Cup to Frances Bashford.
Guest speaker, John Todd, a volunteer at Acorns Children's Hospice, as is his wife, told how the charity which cares for children with life-threatening illnesses, is in desperate need of funds. The flower festival at Wesley Methodist Church, is on behalf of Acorns.
An auction raised money for Headway, and a home for brain-damaged people.
The next meeting at Stourport Social Day Centre will be on February 27, when Glenice Yates will demonstrate "Flower Power". The members' competition will be "Simplicity".
Meetings are held at 7.30pm, and visitors are welcome.
