AT the recent meeting, Sue Merrill related stories "From One Pig to Another", about her life as a mounted policewoman, and a pig farmer after retirement.
Six visitors from Stone were welcomed to the meeting. A letter of thanks had been received from the Macmillan Nurses for £38.15 raised by the Christmas greeting card campaign.
Members will be compensated for the rise of subscriptions in 2007, by receiving a quarterly magazine WI Life.
There will be an Easter card competition at the March meeting.
Dates for the diary: March 14-18, Great Witley Operatic Society production The Mikado; April 27, lunch at Chaddesley Corbett village hall, speaker Bernard Pumfrey, tutor at Denman College.
The next meeting will be on Wednesday in the Memorial Park community centre, starting at 10am, when Bernard Mills will present the "History of Kays".
