ANOTHER business has come forward with a major donation for Operation Covert.
Kidderminster firm MJS IT Services Ltd has pledged £350 to our appeal.
Treasured memories of Rhydd Covert spurred the donation, said managing director, Matthew Simms.
Echoing comments from those who have already donated, Mr Simms said: "Having spent most of my youth with Cubs and Scouts I read with utmost sorrow about the vandalism at Rhydd Covert.
"During many weekends and holidays I spent time camping at the spacious Rhydd Covert.
"Over the years, I've always wanted to give something back into the Scouting movement, for a lot of fond memories, and now find myself in a position to, hopefully, help rebuild the future."
Mr Simms, who set up the Comberton Hill-based company two years ago, said: "As the Cub Scout law says: Cub Scouts always do their best, think of others before themselves and do a good turn every day. Here is my good turn for the day."
District commissioner for Kidderminster and District Scout Council, Dave Denton, said: "It is good to see that firms are really now taking notice and donations to Operation Covert are coming in. It is really encouraging news."
Shuttle/Times and News editor, Clive Joyce, said: "We are hoping that more businesses across the district will support our appeal.
"We are very grateful to those who have already made a contribution and hope others will follow suit."
