A TEENAGE DJ is to host a night of classic tunes in aid of Operation Covert.
Richard Oakley, 16, will play music from the 60s to the 80s at the Coopers Arms in Canterbury Road, Kidderminster on Saturday.
All proceeds from the event, which features food and a light show, will go to the appeal.
The Baxter College pupil is known for raising cash for good causes and his father, Malcolm, said Operation Covert was an obvious choice.
He explained: "Richard saw the article in the paper and he thought it was a real shame that it had happened and he felt sorry for them because the Scouts do so much.
"Richard likes to think he can help people who are helping people."
The evening starts at 7.30pm.
Operation Covert has passed another landmark, with more than £5,000 now in the fund.
