A BABY rhinoceros yet to be named goes on show to the public when West Midland Safari Park reopens to the public this weekend following its winter shutdown.
The youngster, born in September to 12-year-old southern white rhino, Tootsie, weighed 120lbs at birth, following an 18-month gestation.
Bob Lawrence, head warden at the park, said of the recent arrival: "He's developing a wonderful character and enjoys nothing more than having his nose and ears tickled with a scrubbing brush each morning.
"He has been pampered by staff throughout the winter while the park has been closed and we can't wait to show him off to visitors."
The park now has eight southern white rhino, three of them born there. It will be open from Saturday until Friday, November 3, including bank holidays.
