Evesham and District Airgun League
STANTON Club's proud unbeaten record was ended when closest rivals Lygon Arms prised out a three-shot success.
Keith Harris and Carl Ambrose both scored 49 for the winners, while Bryn Evans managed the same score for the losers.
Stanton still have a three-point cushion at the summit, while other results went totally with the formbook.
Offenham RBL romped to victory by 30 shots at Bengeworth SSC, while Badsey RBL had half that margin to spare in victory at home to Honeybourne RC.
Campden RBL won by nine shots at Wickhamford SSC, while Badsey Rec boasted the week's solitary maximum shooter as Ashley Green hit 50 in his side's 21-shot triumph over Nomads.
The Pairs Shield was staged at Campden RBL and saw Lee Callow and Bryn Evans take the title.
The duo shot an excellent 50.5 in the final to see off the challenge of Harris and Ambrose.
The latter pair had earlier overcome Green and Alex Woodward 49.6-45 in the semi-finals, while the eventual winners proved too strong for John and Adam Shrimpton who could only manage 46.2 to their conquerors' 49.5.
