A KIDDERMINSTER singer-songwriter will be playing his first gig in his home town for five years on Sunday.
Ian Passey, who records and performs, as The Humdrum Express, will entertain the audience at The Boar's Head Taphouse in Worcester Street.
He said: "I'm really looking forward to playing in Kidderminster again as I've spent a lot of time writing and recording over the last couple of years."
Ian is signed to Liverpool-based label, Chromium Records, and last October released his debut single, Out With The In Crowd.
The former Bewdley High School student, who lives in Grosvenor Avenue, dedicated it to the memory of the late comedian, Ronnie Barker.
Ian was a member of Kidderminster bands, Jackpot and Swagger, in the mid-90s and said artists such as Graham Coxon, The Fall and Billy Childish have inspired his solo work.
Sunday will also be the last opportunity for fans to buy a copy of his self-produced album, All Aboard The Humdrum Express, which he recorded last May.
Ian, who donates money to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals - PETA - from every album sold, said: "I've decided to delete the album to ensure collectability in the hope that its eBay value will, one day, be higher than my production costs."
