A KIDDERMINSTER singer says the new EP his band has been recording is even more successful than first anticipated.
Members of The Amateurs - guitarist and vocalist, Matthew Colley, Andrew Fletcher on bass and drummer Marcus Jones - have been in the studio working on the new EP, Let The Sun Shine In.
The band has been working with engineer Gareth Williams and co-producer Neil Ivison on the recording, which will be released on Wednesday, March 1.
Matthew said: "We are now at the mixing stage and it sounds like the recording we have always wanted to achieve."
Last year, the band launched its website.
In last week's Shuttle/Times & News, the band's website address was stated incorrectly. The correct address is
www.theamateurs.co.uk.
The band is also gearing up to play gigs at The Caernarvon Castle in London on Saturday, February 18 and at The Actress and Bishop, Birmingham on Friday, March 10.
Matthew said: "We have been approached by a management company based in London, which will take some of the pressure off us booking gigs."
