MANAGER Gary Whild is looking forward to concentrating on matters on the field after the Valley Stadium boardroom wrangles were finally resolved.
And Whild, one of the five directors now in charge of Redditch United, is now looking to bring in a few new faces in an attempt to lift his side clear of relegation.
"It is a big relief that everything has been sorted out," he said. "Maybe I can concentrate on the football a little more now. I came in as a football person and it would be nice to spend a bit more time doing that.
"I have a few irons in the fire regarding players. I felt I didn't want to bring too many in until we knew where the club was going.
"But in the short term we need a quick fix so that we can get some points. That may involve getting a couple of players in on loan."
Whild has been linked with Alvechurch striker Keith Rostill and former Redditch defender Neil Manton, now with Solihull Borough, over the last few weeks but these could be more long-term according to the manager.
"Keith is one I'd like to have a look at but he is on contract with Alvechurch at the moment," Whild added. "The lad scores goals and fits in with the way I like to play football.
"Neil's is a complicated situation as he has had an operation. But he is one player that I'd like to bring back as he would be a big asset to the club."
Striker Jermaine Clarke looks to have pledged his future to the club despite Southern League side Evesham United insisting that the player had signed a contract with them.
Whild added: "Jermaine has told me that he is not happy with the situation at Evesham and wants to stay at Redditch so as far as I'm concerned he will be remain with us."
Clarke is likely to partner Craig Wilding in attack for the visit of the latter's former club Stafford Rangers on Saturday. The game will also see the return to the Valley Stadium of former Reds' skipper Matt Clarke.
Redditch have picked up seven points from their last four games but Stafford are the league leaders with just one defeat on their travels all season and that was back in November.
There will be a minute's silence before Saturday's match in memory of Bill Barker, a co-director and one of the unsung heroes at Redditch United who died recently.
