AT Tuesday's meeting with Redditch District Council, Mr W Harbon made a proposal which we hope will be adopted.
This was that baths be provided with the supplies of hot and cold water in the ground adjoining the Electric Supply Station.
He moved that the Baths Committee be requested to take the matter into consideration and report to the council.
The resolution was passed and it is much to be hoped that the committee will report favourably.
If erected upon the spot suggested - near the Electrical Supply Works - no difficulty would be met with the matter of providing for the heating of the baths and we cannot see that their provision and maintenance need be a matter of great expense.
The baths are undoubtedly needed and we believe extensively used. We do not suppose there is a manufacturing town in the county of the size of Redditch that has not its own hot baths.
