BROMSGROVE'S own percussion performance group is inviting residents to get involved in an afternoon workshop before a show at the town's Artrix this Saturday.
Family group Glamba performs a unique blend of Brazilian, African and Western beats, playing on everything from drum kits and dustbins to congas and traditional Samba instruments.
The trio has been performing in street theatres and carnivals across the country for several years but this weekend's performance marks the first stage show.
Residents are invited to a Samba Percussion Workshop on Saturday afternoon from 2-4pm, learning a Samba groove using a range of traditional Brazilian percussion instruments.
They will then be invited to perform on stage with Glamba at the 8pm evening performance.
The workshop is open to people of all ages and ability, and no musical knowledge is required - just plenty of enthusiasm.
Tickets for the workshop are £8 (£7 concessions), the concert is £6 (£5 concessions) and a combined ticket is available for £12 (£10 concessions).
They can be booked through the Artrix box office on 577330 or by calling in person.
