STOURPORT Swifts boss Roy Rencher has heaped praise on Eric Pudaloff as the young keeper prepares to represent England in a five-side international against Finland.
Pudaloff will be between the sticks for Saturday's Southern Football League trip to Cinderford before linking up with his Futsal team-mates at Bisham Abbey.
England will play two games against the Finns. They were lined up to take part in a tournament in Dubai but it was called off following the death of a leading sheikh.
Rencher believes Pudaloff is well worthy of winning his fourth and fifth England Futsal caps in Tuesday and Wednesday's matches after his fine form for Swifts.
"I'm very pleased with him I was a bit disappointed with him when he first came in because he was a bit clumsy," he said.
"But in the last eight games he hasn't put a foot wrong, he's been as safe as houses."
Rencher has moved to ward off interest in Craig Jenkins by making the former West Midlands Police centre half his only contracted player with a deal until the end of the season with another year's option.
Former Kidderminster Harriers midfielder Paul Bonner is on the brink of signing for Swifts after leaving Hinckley - but will be out for a month after damaging his hamstring in training.
Centre back Neil Mogford has also signed from Midland Combination outfit Archdales.
Rencher's draw specialists Stourport had to be content with another point after coming from behind to finish all square with Solihull last weekend.
No side in the league has drawn more matches than Swifts who had enough chances to claim victory on Saturday.
Richard Burgess saw his free-kick cleared off the line by Solihull defender Pete Barry after just seven minutes while Lee Ross was unlucky when his spectacular overhead effort was pushed onto the crossbar by keeper Shaun Hayes.
But sloppy defending proved costly to the Walshes Meadow men when the ball broke to Dean Curtis and he fired Solihull in front midway through the second half.
But the Swifts bounced back and were on level terms 15 minutes from time when Craig Marshall equalised after a deft touch from star midfielder Shaun Findlay.
The final stages almost produced a winner for the home side when Richard Burgess fired the ball across the face of goal and substitute Andy Burgess was just inches away from forcing it in.
