THE board of Redditch United Club Ltd regret to announce the resignation of Patrick Cremin as chairman and director of the club.
Mr Cremin has served the club for 10 years. He was elected chairman in 2003 and the subsequent two years have been some of the most successful in the club's history, with Mr Cremin overseeing improvements to the Valley Stadium pitch and facilities around the ground, including new supporters' facilities.
His time as chairman also coincided with the club winning a double promotion to take its place in the Nationwide Conference North and also victory in the Birmingham Senior Cup.
Mr Cremin paid tribute to those who have helped steer the club forward.
He said: "Our success has been achieved with the help and support of all the backroom staff, players, physiotherapists and the management team of Rod Brown and Gary Whild, who built a victorious team during what has been a fantastic time for the club
"I would also like to thank all of our sponsors over the years, with special thanks to Lee and Vanessa Prudden, of Prudden Road Surfacing, and Luke Egan, of Redditch Storage and Partitioning. Both companies have been main sponsors of the club during my time as chairman.
"Finally, I would like to thank everyone who has supported us during our time with the club."
Redditch United accepts Mr Cremin's resignation with regret and would like to record its grateful thanks to Pat, Donna and his family for all their work and efforts over the years.
