Bridgnorth Town 1 Barnt Green Spartak 1
BARNT Green's hopes of keeping up with leaders Artherstone were dented by Bridgnorth in the Midland Combination Premier Division on Saturday.
A draw means that Spartak have slipped 13 points behind the division's run-away leaders.
Defender Paul Smith bagged Barnt Green's only goal of the game to make sure of a draw.
The draw rounded off a satisfying week for Spartak, who beat Northfield Town 3-1 in the second round of the Smedley Crooke Cup on Wednesday, February 1.
Goals for Kevin Brookes (2) and Jae Martin made sure Barnt Green booked their place in the cup's semi-finals.
Spartak take on Coventry Sphinx at home on Saturday, February 11, in a top of the table clash (2.45pm kick off).
Victory for manager GJ Singh's side would go some way to sealing second place in the table.
At the moment Barnt Green have a two point advantage over their third placed rivals Coventry.
