STEVE Burton has revealed the positive thinking in the Aggborough dressing room as Kidderminster bid to bounce back from one of their most depressing weeks ever.
The former Hull left back admits the Harriers players were shocked by the departure of Jan Molby, but insists they will give caretaker boss Shaun Cunnington their complete backing.
"We found out that Jan had resigned when we came in for training on Thursday," he said.
"Gary Barnett and Shaun Cunnington explained the situation and we didn't have too long to dwell on it because we had to prepare for the game against Shrewsbury.
"Obviously it was a big shock to everyone and we're sorry to see him go.
"I personally enjoyed training with him and he got on well with all of the lads and he was liked around the club, but he obviously felt he'd done as much as he could.
Burton said Cunnington had tried to bring an optimistic approach to his first few training sessions.
"Gary is still here so we're used to working with him and Shaun's been around the dressing room and helped with coaching before so it's not too different to get used to.
"What they've tried to get across to us is to think positively.
"You look at a team like Carlisle last season. They were in a lot worse situation than us and although they didn't quite get out of it they had a good go.
"Shaun has told us that we're just 10 points off the play-offs and to keep looking up rather than down."
