KIDDERMINSTER Harriers hope the return of striker Drewe Broughton will help them shake off their growing reputation as draw specialists when they face Nationwide Division Three basement club Boston United at Aggborough tomorrow (2pm).
Broughton missed last Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Darlington because of a one-match ban handed out for his recent sending off against high-flying Rushden & Diamonds.
Harriers will go into tomorrow's clash with four draws under their belt in six outings so far this season.
Aggborough boss Ian Britton said: "It seems as if we are becoming a draw team. I don't want that because we obviously go out and try to win games.
"We go out with a positive attitude in our home games and with a bit more luck against Lincoln and in the Darlington game we could have had nine points instead of five from three matches at Aggborough.
"We are creating chances but it's going to be difficult against Boston who have done well. It's all new to them at the moment and the adrenaline will be going. We just need that bit of luck now as we could be winning these games instead of drawing them."
Harriers still have injury doubts over giant central defender Abdou Sall and midfielder Dean Bennett who are battling to overcome ankle injuries.
Sall's problem first flared up in pre-season but has caused enough concern to rule him out of Harriers' last two matches. His chances of facing Boston are regarded as being '50-50'.
Bennett's injury, which involves the same ankle he broke when he was younger, is likely to sideline him again tomorrow.
Front-runner Bo Henriksen has been having treatment this week on a thigh muscle strain but is expected to be passed fit to play.
Boston, last term's Nationwide Conference champions, began the season with minus four points because of financial irregularities.
They have since wiped out the deficit but remain bottom with two points to their credit. They have yet to win an away match.
The kick-off tomorrow has been brought forward an hour because of England's match with Portugal.
Meanwhile, Harriers midfielder Mark Blake is stepping up his fitness work as he continues his rehabilitation from an Achilles tendon injury.
He was initially ruled out until the New Year after undergoing surgery last March, but his recovery is proving quicker than anticipated. No date has been pencilled in for his return to action.
FORMCAST: Harriers can win 2-1.
