A CALF injury forced the productive Thomas Skovbjerg off the pitch as Harriers reserves won 3-0 at Worcester City on Wednesday night.
Skovbjerg, still on the long comeback route from knee surgery, came off at half-time to be replaced by veteran midfielder Shaun Cunnington.
Harriers moved to the top of Group B in the Central Conference League Cup with their second win over Worcester in a week after a 5-1 hammering last Wednesday.
Gary Barnett's reserves can reach the next round with victory over old rivals Hereford United in the final game.
Trialist Crystal Palace midfielder Michael Fowler opened the scoring at St George's Lane with a 20-yard shot and Andy Corbett scored another in the second half, tapping in Tony Bird's cross.
Corbett completed the scoring with another tidy finish from a Bird set-up.
Harriers: Abel, Hawtin, Cudworth, Ayres, Herbert, Fowler, Skovbjerg (Cunnington 46), Davies, Bird, Corbett, Barnett. Subs not used: Reeves, Jackson, Hall, Clarke.
