A "WILD" time was had by guests at Saturday's ball in aid of the Kemp Hospice appeal held at Kidderminster Harriers' Aggborough Stadium.
More than 250 people were entertained at the glittering event under a marquee on the football pitch.
One of the prizes in the raffle - a Manchester United shirt signed by five past and present club captains - fetched £1,600.
Bewdley company director Neale White forked out for the shirt - even though he is a Wolves fan.
He said: "Kemp is a cause close to my heart and a friend recently died of cancer."
Last year Mr White, 41, of Hop Pole Lane, undertook a 100-kilometre sponsored trek across the Sahara Desert to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Other fund-raising events included a tombola and a casino but the total sum raised for the hospice appeal is not yet known.
The star guest was ex-Led Zeppelin vocalist Robert Plant, who lives in Wolverley.
Organiser Dawn Anglin said: "It was wild - just fantastic. I've already had a dozen phone calls.
"Everybody had such a good time."
