KADEER Ali looks set for a place in Worcestershire's side for their last County Championship Division Two match of the season which opens against Middlesex at New Road tomorrow.
The 18-year-old batsman is poised to take over from Paul Pollard.
Kadeer has made only two Championship appearances this season and failed to slot into the run-making groove in both matches, but is now hoping to sign off the campaign on a free-scoring note.
Kadeer also played for the County in their game against the Australians, scoring five and two, while he notched 14 in his only innings in the match with Durham UCCE.
Earlier this season he performed for England Under 19s in the Test series against West Indies.
His inclusion tomorrow looks like being the only change from the Championship side which drew with Durham at the Riverside on Saturday.
Worcestershire: Weston, Singh, Hick, Leatherdale, Kadeer, Solanki, Bichel, Rhodes, Liptrot, Rawnsley, Sheriyar.
