DAN Zaltzman has been banned for three weeks after his red card at Coventry on Saturday.
The Worcester Rugby Club lock was dismissed during the 33-26 win at Coundon Road for throwing a punch and the Sixways club have acted quickly following an internal review.
The 21-day suspension will rule him out of this weekend's rearranged National One clash at Manchester, while he will also miss the home game with Wakefield on February 23.
"We have reviewed the incident and decided to ban Dan for 21 days from February 11," said head coach John Brain.
"Worcester do not condone any incidents of this kind. We don't want angels playing for us, but it was clear that Dan crossed the line on Saturday and let the team down.
"It's true that Dan plays on the edge but after watching the video of the Coventry game it was clear he'd gone too far."
Zaltzman will be free to play next on March 9 against Otley.
