FORMER Aggborough favourite Chris Brindley has taken over as manager at Hednesford Town until the end of the season.
The veteran centre-back, involved in Harriers' Conference win and FA Cup run to the fifth round in the 1993/94 season, takes over from Ian Painter who has been sacked.
Brindley's new role at the Dr Martens Premier Division strugglers is his first managerial appointment.
