STEVE Burton admitted he jumped at the chance to join Harriers on a contract until the end of the season, despite having to leave his native Yorkshire.
The 21-year-old left-back, who has stepped into the side for Scott Stamps in the last two games, is delighted to be playing first-team football.
Burton, who had a successful loan spell with Harriers earlier in the season, said: "I didn't get to play much football at Hull so it was good to get another 90 minutes under my belt at Cambridge.
"I felt sharper and stronger as the game went on.
"But it was a bit similar to the Huddersfield game as we were down to 10 men and I couldn't really get forward and bomb on as I like to. You've got to be disciplined.
"When I got the call from Gary Barnett about coming here, I didn't need a second to think about it. I said yes straight away.
"Kidderminster have given me the opportunity to play first-team football and I'm grateful for that. I'm really enjoying it.
"The distance has not really been a problem as this is a friendly club."
