(From Sixways Director of Coaching Adrian Skeggs in the club's Spanish training camp)
WE'VE had to change our selection plans for Sunday's match at Henley Hawks because of one or two injuries.
The boys looked and felt stiff after their athletics efforts from the previous day so a long stretch session was needed.
Before the 9.30am session Geoff Cooke and I decided that the forward pack would be the same that played at Wakefield, with Richard Jarman and Rudi Keil coming in at half back and centre, Alistair Murdoch switching to the wing with Nick Baxter on the bench.
In theory this was the starting fifteen for the trip to Henley but problems started straight away during the session.
Murdoch's back seized up and is now in doubt and Keil didn't last the session and will not be ready for Sunday.
So Baxter will play 11 and if Murdoch is fit he will play 12. If not Laulala Langkilde will start at 12 and Earl Va'a will cover centres with Tony Yapp moving to fly-half.
The session eventually got underway and the forwards spent most of the time brushing up on line-out option with Andrew Lamerton looking more confident of playing after suffering from a virus.
Against Waterloo and Wakefield the forwards drove and got good ball for the backs. I felt both times that the backs in the conditions didn't keep things simple and play broke down. So simplicity in option taking was the key to the session.
The conditions in Spain have been sensational with beautifully sunny weather and a perfect surface with no rabbits!
The Warriors trained also as they take on Bristol next Tuesday at Sixways 7.30pm.
This Warriors side played strongly at Northampton and are looking good for this next match. Andy Higgins trained with them and looked sharp except he will not be able to take contact for some time.
Yesterday afternoon the players relaxed with football, tennis and being a tourist in Puerto Banus, the rich man's paradise with a marina full of luxurious boats. Coffee was the price of a pint back home.
The squad have a inter group trivial pursuit contest tonight. Most of them struggle with line-out calls so I think it might be early to bed!
Anyway we are all up early for our final team run followed by a day of travel.
I look forward to seeing all the true blue supporters at Henley.
