DIRECTOR of football Jan Molby had particular praise for Mark Yates on his return to Aggborough after Tuesday's vital 2-1 win over Northampton.
Molby said: "I thought Mark Yates was absolutely fabulous in the first half. In the second half he dropped back and gave protection to our central duo as well as adding calmness to our build-up play.
"That's the type of experience we're looking for in this side. But all of our players can be proud of their performance.
"I thought it was a deserved win. At times we played some excellent football.
"The most pleasing thing is that when they scored to make it 2-1, instead of allowing them to get on top we really took the game back to them.
"We had chance after chance in the following 10 minutes. We showed great spirit and pushed them back.
"It never looked like it was going to be 2-2. It always looked like it was going to be three, four or five to us."
