WORCESTER City goalkeeper Danny McDonnell is booked in for a minor operation next week to cure a troublesome shoulder injury.
The 31-year-old is currently in Scotland representing England at the Four Nations Tournament in Scotland but requires treatment that will rule him out of a potential clash with Iraq and trip to America.
McDonnell's condition is called an impingement in which bone catches on the muscle and causes pain when the arm is lifted.
"I saw a specialist before I went to Scotland and I'm booked in for a minor operation," said McDonnell.
"It's a niggly injury more than anything but I need to get it sorted before the start of the season."
