ANGRY Jan Molby admitted Harriers scarcely deserved saving a point from their 1-0 defeat to Yeovil at the weekend.
But the director of football was furious at referee Kevin Wright's decision to disallow Dean Bennett's injury-time effort and at his handling of the penalty incident.
Molby fumed: "The penalty was costly in the end as that would have given us a point we probably didn't deserve.
"We are not here to blame the official but the way he handled that incident was shambolic. I found it amazing he should go over and talk to the linesman while there was a riot going on behind him."
And, of Bennett's goal that wasn't, the Dane continued: "There was absolutely no way that was a free-kick to Yeovil.
"Again that goal would have given us a point that we didn't deserve but sometimes you have to accept gifts. The referee has made a bad decision there but it's too late to change things."
But Molby would not defend his players' performance and claimed they lacked the will to lead Harriers to victory.
He said: "In the first 10 minutes, we got after them and gave Dean Bennett and Scott Rickards something to work with and chase.
"If we could have improved on that, we could possibly have won the game and let's not forget Yeovil haven't come here full of confidence.
"But nothing materalised after that and it was only after we missed the penalty that we had a little go. A lot of our selections on the ball were simply not good enough.
"It's the lack of will to do the things that have to be done to win a game of football. That's disappointing and that's not good enough.
"For whatever reason a month ago, when we beat Bristol Rovers, one or two people thought we were out of the woods. We never thought that and I think that's been proved now.
"There are plenty more difficult games to go. If we don't produce better than today, it's going to go right to the wire."
