CHEERLEADERS from Worcester's university have been shaking their pom-poms in a Midlands competition.
Captain Kirsty Millward choreographed the dance and gymnastic routines for Saturday's entry in the Future Cheer Midlands regional event.
She said the 21 squad members from the university who were due to compete were extremely excited, but nervous about the event, at Loughborough University.
"This was the first competition for all of us," said the 20-year-old.
"We are all very happy to be competing at all."
The squad is already making a name for itself. It raised more than £100 for Children in Need in November with a raffle and has wowed the crowds at Worcester City Football Club.
