KIDDERMINSTER Carolians kept their North Midlands Cup campaign on course with a 17-7 victory against Shrewsbury.
Their opponents took the lead with an unconverted try but KCs hit back when an excellent break by James Whitehouse saw him link with Dan Quinn and Maben Jones to allow Max Bullivant to touch down in his last game for the club.
Kidderminster found themselves down to 13 men after they had Mat Rigsby and captain Ben Turner sin-binned.
Despite their numerical disadvantage, they took the lead when a back move involving Pinner and Quinn allowed James Whitehouse to free top try-scorer Eddie Ross, who crossed the line to make it 10-7.
In the second-half, a good driving maul led to Chris Pinner beating his man to touch down.
KCs will now look to improve their league position when they travel to Sutton Coldfield on Saturday (2.15pm).
KCs second fifteen went down 36-15 to Evesham seconds.
Luctonians joined Kidderminster in the next round of the North Midlands Cup with a 37-8 victory at New-port.
Andy Garrod scored a pair of tries while there were also scores for Mark Panniers and Nick Hamer. Jeremy Wheadon was also in form, scoring 17 points with his boot.
Worcester Wanderers seconds went down 27-14 to Stourport.
