WORCESTER Wolves stretched their unbeaten run in all competitions to 11 games with a 116-92 win at Teeside Mohawks.
The victory keeps them in the top spot in the English Basketball Division One.
They started strongly and, by the end of the first quarter, were 41-26 ahead. The main scorers were Andy Harper, Ty Shaw and Valdas Urbonavicius.
In the second quarter, the home side came back into the game and reduced the deficit to just four points to trail 62-58 at the half-time interval.
But Harper took control in the third quarter and shot well from three-point range. Wolves ended the quarter leading 90-78.
And Worcester finished strongly with some good rebounding from Shaw, Danny Williams and Colin Chiverton as they ran out winners by 24 points.
Harper topped the scoring charts with 39 points. Urbonavicius weighed in with 23 and Shaw added 19 points.
Shaw was top rebounder with 13 points, while Williams and Chiverton had seven apiece.
Wolves will be looking to build on this result when they entertain Solent on Saturday at the University of Worcester. Tip-off for that match is at 7pm.
That is the first part of a double header for Worcester and on Sunday they travel south to play Essex and Herts Leopards.
