MORE than £300 was raised for Operation Covert when two Kidderminster couples opened their gardens.
Adrian and Sheila James coined in £290 for the charity when they opened their garden gates last Saturday and took £310 for the National Gardens Scheme the following day.
The pair had already handed over £180 to the appeal to rebuild the Rhydd Covert Scout Centre after opening their Comberton Avenue garden earlier in the summer.
Carol and Chris Cox also raised £35 by opening their Avill Grove garden on Saturday.
