IT has been a hard couple of weeks for everyone at the club -- but I think the guys have been a little bit unlucky with the results.

We could have won any one of the last three games but we've ended up losing all three. There have been a couple of little errors, which we couldn't legislate for. But every now and then these things happen.

It has been doubly frustrating not being able to play and my back is still pretty sore.

I'm pretty limited in what I can do at the moment but I'm just trying to get right as quickly as possible.

But the lads are working themselves into the ground. It's not a time to panic but it's getting more and more important that we start winning.

The Bath result was a bad one and, in the match up at Newcastle, we were always chasing the game.

Everybody is aware how difficult it is going to be when Northampton visit Sixways on Saturday.

Saints have got so many great individuals and can be a very dangerous team.

They have some incredible runners and their back line is probably the best in the Premiership.

We've done all right against them in the past in the league but that doesn't tell the whole story. They have been very, very close games.

Even though we have got the right results, they have been very tight games so you don't have to be a genius to work out that it is going to be a close game.

I imagine it would be quite an exciting game to be involved in.

We've reached the half-way point in the season and, while it's surprising to see the likes of London Irish and Bristol up there, you get surprises every year so you have to expect the unexpected.

The margins are so small and that's why the work-rate is so important. Ultimately, you get what you deserve!
