LEICESTER is a massive game for us and if we can get a result tomorrow it puts us in a really good situation.
As good a side as they are, we are at home and these are the sort of games we need to be competitive in.
We've been talking about making little steps and, when the likes of Leicester come to us, we've got to make a game of it.
Leicester and Wasps are the two best sides at the moment -- but I don't think Tigers are in the same sort of form that they have been in years gone by.
But their strength in depth is quite frightening and they are one of the few clubs with a squad that can cope with missing a few players.
That's why they are such a good side and that's why they have been successful. Teams that win leagues and win leagues regularly have that sort of strength in depth.
It will be one of the hardest games of the season. They are a very, very confrontational side and we've got to not only match that but better it to beat them.
That's probably the only way to beat them. They've got an awful lot of skill and an awful lot of pace out wide, but if we beat them up front we give ourselves a chance.
I've been with England this week and it's hard to know what to focus on. There is a lot to do to pick a team for next Saturday and it's all hands to the pump.
It's a really intense place and guys are running around giving 100 per cent.
I find out today if I'm in the 22 and if I'm not I'll be able to play for Worcester tomorrow.
It's been impossible for me to prepare for the Leicester game, but from a player's perspective, you can do nothing about it. You just have to get on with it.
I know the guys are working hard and it's one of those games you really look forward to as a player and it will be brilliant to play them under the lights at Sixways.
I did not go to Catania at the weekend but it was a bit of a disappointing result for us. Without wanting to talk ourselves up, we should be putting sides like that away more easily.
We've just got to set ourselves higher standards.
This weekend would be a great weekend to put it right and make sure we don't double up on a poor performance.
It's been a bit of a hectic time for me recently with Premiership games and European matches and England training, but I feel sharp and good. I've got nothing to complain about.
With the competitions being separate and different it just keeps you refreshed and the league is very important for us so it shouldn't be difficult to get ourselves up for it.
It's good to have Neil Mason back at the club this week. He's been playing well for Moseley.
He trains hard and he's a really good influence around the place.
