A STUNNING fightback saw Malvern Ladies hockey team clinch victory with three goals in the last ten minutes.
MALVERN LADIES 3, EVESHAM LADIES 2
A stylish Evesham team forced Malvern to defend bravely in the first-half and they were unlucky to only be ahead by two at the interval.
After a tough half-time team talk, Malvern opened up with increased motivation. The score remained unchanged until the last ten minutes when Malvern threw everything into attack and scored an excellent goal from player-of-the-match Ellie Myhill.
Exploiting the intense atmosphere, Malvern defender Helen Barnes scored with a stunning shot from the edge of the 'D' to bring the scores level with less than four minutes left.
Not settling for a draw, Malvern continued to attack and Evesham had no answer to Helen Barnes' late strike.
