TEAMS from around the country competed at the National Lacrosse Tournament hosted by Malvern Girls' College on Sunday.
Hundreds of visitors watched matches between regional teams drawn from the East, North, South, West, Midlands and Wales.
The Midlands team included four MGC students, Ellie Robbins, Tina Goodwin, Satpriya Marwaha and Charlie Allan. The MGC girls acquitted themselves well and contributed goals to their team's cause.
"It was an excellent day with all teams playing to win against fierce competition," said MGC PE teacher Jackie Marks.
The Midlands team started well but ended fourth. Honours went to the East regional team, winning four and drawing once.
