HOCKEY players from the Downs School in Colwall have made it a triple success after the Herefordshire County Hockey Championships in Leominster at the weekend.
Both the U11s and U13s boys' teams competed in the event and both made it to the finals.
The U11s just beat a strong side from St Richard's School and the U13s had a narrow win against Leominster's home side.
With the U13s girls' team already down to represent Herefordshire at the West of England Championships in March, these latest results mean the school can boast three county representatives at the event, only the second time that has happened.
Among those watching at the weekend was former England U18s coach David Patterson.
He said: "The Downs has proved again that it's not a question of how many you have to choose from but of the need to play as a team and to have the desire to support each other and do your very best on the day. Everybody did just that."
