THE sixth Worcester News Jobs and Careers Fair promises to be bigger and better than before with more than 2,000 people expected at the Guild-hall on Thursday, March 9.
There will be around 25 exhibitors ranging from manufacturers and recruitment agencies to the Armed Forces and banks. Many of Worcestershire's biggest emp-loyers will be present, including Shaw Healthcare, West Mercia Police and Bradfords Building Supplies.
The event has been organised in association with Job-Centre Plus and is being sponsored by Pertemps recruitment agency.
It is aimed not just as school leavers, but people of any age who are either looking for a career change or have been made redundant.
Disabled people can also benefit as there is a ramp at the front entrance of the Guildhall.
"Last year, we had a really good cross-section of people looking for work," said Sandra Sandon, event co-ordinator for the Worcester News.
"Job-seeking can be a difficult and often stressful task, and it is much better to be able to look at a range of vacancies and career opportunities under one roof.
"When we first held the fair, people said 'about time,' and they are still very enthusiastic about it.
"In fact, the event has become so successful we have decided to make it bi-annual, with another two day fair planned for September."
Invitations have been sent out to every High School in Worcestershire and posters have been put in sports clubs throughout the county.
There will also be a list for jobseekers on the day, detailing the companies and organisations present at the event and where they can be found.
