TOWN were indebted to Jenny Griffiths' goal-line clearance as both teams started brightly but struggled to find a finish.
BREDON LADIES 1, MALVERN TOWN LADIES 4
The first chance fell to Malvern, but Sam Shail was closed down by the keeper when through on goal.
Then the Bredon striker rounded Malvern goalie Jenny Shail, but Griffiths' out-stretched leg saved the day.
Malvern eventually took the lead in the 43rd minute, Stacie Doyle slotting a penalty awarded for hand-ball.
Malvern started the second-half with great urgency. They found themselves two up in the 50th minute after Doyle fired into the top corner from 20 yards out.
They were three up five minutes later when some good work by man-of-the-match Sharon Coxhead found Sam Shail free. She rounded the keeper and scored into an empty net, her first goal for over two years.
Bredon didn't give up and got a goal back in the 60th minute.
Malvern finished off the game in the 82nd minute when Becky Crack raced down the wing and crossed the ball in for Sam Shail to get her second.
Ella Buckle had a good game at left-back.
Malvern travel to Droitwich on Sunday in the league. The team is sponsored by First Floor Flooring & The Soccer Site. Any girls/ladies interested in playing, can contact Dennis Coxhead on 01684 560188 or visit at: www.freewebs.com/ mlfc
