A QUARRY near Malvern with fossils dating back 425 million years is at the centre of an exciting new project.
Whitman's Hill Quarry, in Storridge is the subject of a Geodiversity Discovery Venture, which has been launched by Leominster MP Bill Wiggin (above). The Herefordshire and Worcestershire Earth Heritage Trust has obtained a 10-year lease on the site, which is set to be used for educational research. As well as offering visits at the outdoor centre, there will be fossil collecting and wildlife trails.
