ONE month into 2006, Sheffield band the Arctic Monkeys already appear to have conquered the year and now look set to further continue their meteoric rise with a UK tour twith a date at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on Wednesday, April 19.
The raw and edgy guitar-based quartet shot into the musical record books this month after their album - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not - became the fastest-selling debut in UK chart history following hot on the heels of number one I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor. The release recorded 363,735 over-the-counter sales during its first week, outstripping the rest of the top 20 combined.
Due to unprecedented demand, tickets, priced £14, are available in person only by visiting the Midland Box Office in North Street, Wolverhampton.
