Reference the item on the front of the Gazette about a 'tractor train', bravo, bravo, bravo!
It's about time this town (and Malvern Hills Conservators) provided some sort of transport onto the Hills. It sounds to me that the proposal is not nearly far reaching enough.
The train should at least start at Great Malvern Station, and stop off at the car park on Priory Road, then up through the town and on to the Hills, and up to the Beacon, it could then go to Wyche Cutting, and on to British Camp, maybe via Jubilee Drive, dropping off passengers en route. Then a different route back.
It seems to me the Hills have been a preserve for the fit and healthy and unencumbered members of the community. What about the disabled, infirm and incapacitated and families with a number of small children who cannot walk far? We also love the Hills and would like to spend time on them and we also pay our council taxes.
The idea of a small train has been used in many towns very successfully and could become a great visitor attraction. Come on Malvern, get a move on!
